Ageing brings in its own set of troubles, one of them can be treated with homoeopathy
One feature consistent with ageing is grey hair and probably the second feature in men is increase in size of the prostate gland. Though hypertrophy or increase in size is usual it is not always that it causes any trouble and in those it does it can cause urinary symptoms like frequency, urgency etc. which need to be countered.
If an elderly gentleman has an urge for urination with
urgency and has to rush to the toilet and may have passage of a few
drops even he reaches there he is suspect of prostate gland swelling. He
could have an urge but the urination may take a while to start and in
some there is intermittent stoppage of urination while passing and
worse still even as he feels this is the end of episode there is a
passage of few drops involuntarily. The stream could be thin and there
could be a predominant hesitancy, all triggered by the same cause.
The prostate gland is a walnut shaped gland between the
rectum and the urinary bladder and the two lobes of the gland become
swollen only to obstruct the urethra which passes like a straw between
the lobes. That is the reason why all the symptoms due to the gland are
on the urinary system.
Sometimes the gland enlarges to put pressure on the urinary
bladder ahead and there is always some amount of urine remaining in
the bladder after an effort to void at the toilet. This residual urine
only causes further secondary infection and could weaken the wall of
the bladder.
There is a swelling of the gland during the adolescence and
later after crossing of fifty. Though the cause is not known it is
supposed to be due to lowered testosterone levels and increased estrogen
levels apart from dihydrotesterone which is raised in the later ages.
Symptoms referred by the patient and an ultrasound scan is
enough evidence to nail the issue. To rule out a probable malignancy a
blood test termed Prostate Specific Antigen is also conducted.
Homoeopathic medicine has good remedies to see that the
swollen gland is not a deterrence to the urethra and the urinary flow.
If urgency is the issue Causticum helps and if frequency is the symptom, Cantharis balances it and if flow is a problem, Clematis helps while Thuja and Medorrhinum help in seeing that there is no further gland size increase and Sabal serrulata is a remedy which helps in establishing better urinary flow.
Eczema
I am suffering from eczema on and off for the past
fifteen years with the onset of rainy and cold months. There is itching
on the elbows and the feet with oozing after scratching. Sometimes
there is formation of pus too.
Sridhar
It is nothing but an allergic response of the skin to
probably irritants or even environment. Homoeopathic medicine has good
remedies like Sulph, Merc, Natrum mur etc. which can relieve
the itching and irritation and over a period of time see that the
response to the same allergens does not cause the eczematous response.
Consult a homoeopath.
Oozing of the ear
My daughter aged 19 is having pus discharge in right ear.
She has been taking antibiotics for the last six months for this as it
keeps oozing once medicines are stopped. We had done a scan for
mastoids. There is no hearing loss. Can you suggest a permanent
solution for this problem.

Chronic infection of the middle ear has resulted in these symptoms. Homoeopathic medicine has good remedies like Pulsatilla, Silicea, Kali mur, Kali sulph etc. which can help resolve such conditions. Consult a homeopath.
If there is a simple, safe and swift path to recovery of health then it has to be homoeopathy. Founded more than two centuries ago by Dr.Samuel Hahnemann, a German Physician, pained with the therapy of the times was on search for an alternative and discored Homoeopathy.
