Reassurance is the key to happiness during the first few days of school
It is that time of the year when the young children who have had a spring in their step during the summer vacation find themselves staring at yet another dawn of the academic year with a sense of apprehension and butterflies in their stomach. It is a time of mixed feelings and emotions. Younger children in pre-primary sections are even known to forget toilet training due to the stress of leaving the parents for those few hours. They would need more attention and reassurance. One of the key issues for children is the morning rush just as adults. They should be helped to wake up early a week before the actual school routine starts. They need to get adjusted to the rhythm of wake up time, breakfast time, toilet time, TV watching time and bedtime.
hildren should be got into the habit of doing their routine
jobs of homework or play at specific time or place even as they are
encouraged to keep their books and supplies at a specific place at home
which helps imbibe a sense of discipline which would be of help when
they join school.
If the parents are positive and enthusiastic it will rub
off on the children and they would be excited and look forward to
another year at school too.
One of the anxieties of the young child going to school is
formation of new group of friends. Parents would better watch out if
their children are not very happy at school or if they are unable to
make better progress in academics it could well be the fact that they
are being bullied or child is not comfortable with friends around. They
should be coaxed to make friends since good friends are valuable for
making life encouraging, exciting and entertaining.
But if the child continues to have restless sleep, does not
feel fresh on waking, seems to be tired all the time, breaks eating
patterns often, unable to adjust to the time given for homework,
complains of ache and pains, is unable to enjoy routine things and
seems to get irritable all the time it could well be stress during the
first few weeks of school and parents should be keen to address it.
Homoeopathic medicine has good remedies like Ignatia which keeps the stress levels doe not affect the psyche, Natrum mur which keeps the irritable responses at a low ebb, Staphysagria which makes the child come around with his feelings and expresses to his parents and a remedy like Tarentula hisp which keeps the bubbling restlessness and energy to a better focus.
For all the travails during this phase of schooling, homoeopathic Medicine is a safe answer.
Back pain
I suffer from a chronic back pain and have
undergone an MRI scan which shows “Central and bilateral paracentral
disc herniations causing compressions over L3-4, L4-5 & L5-S1
thecal sac and root levels”. What would be a remedy for this?
Suguna
To relieve the compression by allaying inflammation over
the pressure areas so that pain is kept off is the challenge and
remedies like Mag phos, Hypericum, Gaultheria have been known to help this.
SLE
I have been diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythrematosus and Dermatomyositis.
I have pain in the joints and breathlessness and
have been on medication for five years. Can Homoeopathy offer a remedy
for such conditions?
abc
These are auto immune diseases in which the body’s response
is harmful to one’s own metabolism. To keep the symptoms at bay and
see the disease is modulated and becomes inactive is the challenge of
homoeopathic medicine.
It is done well too either individually or as a
complementary system. Remission or inactive phase is done with
medicines like Sarsaparilla, Sulphur, Natrum mur, Ars alb etc. Consult a homoeopath with appropriate details.
If there is a simple, safe and swift path to recovery of health then it has to be homoeopathy. Founded more than two centuries ago by Dr.Samuel Hahnemann, a German Physician, pained with the therapy of the times was on search for an alternative and discored Homoeopathy.
