It is the time of the protracted monsoon time in our State. Though advent of rain brings cheer but the undue prolonged rains bring with them a host of unwanted diseases one needs to be wary about. But there are ways and means to keep them at bay too.
Rain means collection of water in puddles in around our
houses. One needs to be cautious about such areas and promptly be
discarded like the water collection in plastic covers, old unused
buckets etc. as it would be an ideal place for the mosquitoes to breed
and multiply. Mosquitoes are carriers of the scourge malaria for ages
and has added Dengue to the list of fevers that it can carry and
keeping them at bay is the best way of dealing with them rather than
looking at exterminating them. Mosquito nets at night and repellant
creams during daytime are a safe bet as the barrier of the nets would
never allow the mosquitoes to reach you. The chemicals in the coils can
cause and extend the woes as they are likely to cause an increase in
probability of allergies and respiratory tract infections, especially
in children who are prone to them. Homoeopathic Medicine has good
remedies like China, Natrum mur which can help in getting rid of
intermittent fevers like Malaria and Ars. Alb and Phos; to get rid of
fevers like Dengue.
Rain time is also the time when there is a high probability
of the contamination of fresh or potable drinking water with sewage
lines as any damage to these lines causes leakage and infective bacteria
like cholera etc. which can spread to the already susceptible human
organism at this time when the resistance is at a low ebb. It is always
ideal to boil and cool drinking water before putting them to use as
otherwise diseases like diarrhea and cholera which cause increased
number of vomiting or loose motions dehydrate an individual.
Homoeopathic Medicine has good remedies like Camph, Veratrum alb. Etc
which can keep such diseases at bay when treated appropriately and and
on time.
It is also a time when contamination also accounts to the
vegetables we eat. Salads which are eaten raw can be a source of tiny
worms or elements like Ascariasis that can spread to the human body
causing gastro intestinal diseases etc. So it is imperative that such
foods are avoided during this season and only boiled and cooled
vegetable soups should be encouraged.
Kids need their time under the rain too and though they
cannot be always restrained from; once they are home they should be
insisted to dry themselves and especially the feet along with the hair
and body and exposure to air conditioners during that while is
restricted from as they are the most vulnerable to catch a virus during
that phase. Also rain coats and gum boots should be encouraged to
school. Dulcamara 200 a dose of when should be given to a child which
will keep the viruses at bay. Washing the hands after the use of a
toilet and before eating are sure ways to keep the infections at bay.
Children should be desisted from biting the nails as they could cause an
infection. Even as one is more vulnerable during monsoon time there
are ways to see that only good effects ensue and all infections are
kept at bay.

My wife has been suffering with this disease for about
twenty years now and gets into fits of rage or sometimes a state of
suspicion and depression. She has been on ECT too on a couple of times
earlier. –abc.
A: It is a disease of the brain which causes a feeling as
if one has hallucination of seeing things, hearing voices etc. and a
sensation as if their brain is under somebody else’s control.

Stramonium etc. to control the aggressive form of the disease wherein
rage and anger are involved and remedies like Staphysagria, Ignatia,
Natrum mur which can help in keeping symptoms like suspicion, delusion,
hallucination under control.
Hairloss:
I have been suffering with hair loss in patches on the
scalp and the areas of loss of hair are dry, red, itchy and sometimes
oily. – abc.
A: Loss of hair in patches on the scalp could be due to
conditions like Seborrheic dermatitis wherein there is thick, scaly loss
of scalp like dandruff or Lichen planus wherein there is severe
itching, thickness, roughness of affected area of the scalp or ringworm
infestations with itching or alopecia areata wherein the loss of hair
follows a coin like patch but there is no itching or any other symptom
and could spread to other areas of the scalp or body. Once the hairloss
is studied in your case a proper remedy to address any of the above
concerns can be prescribed.
If there is a simple, safe and swift path to recovery of health then it has to be homoeopathy. Founded more than two centuries ago by Dr.Samuel Hahnemann, a German Physician, pained with the therapy of the times was on search for an alternative and discored Homoeopathy.
